Mountain Retreat

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121: 1,2

I love those verses, just as I love looking at the mountains. Better still is to BE in the mountains, which is where I spent the weekend. I was off on a quilt retreat, at Hartland. Good food, good friends, and quilting? What better combo can a person come up with? At the moment I'm hard-pressed to come up with one.

The thing about driving into the mountains is that it is not without its issues.

Hey, Bub, what are you doing here BEFORE the warning sign? Does your Mama know where you are?

On the way up, I saw two of these in my path. shudder. It's migration time, watch out!

And there are these to pay attention to...

And the reminder that we're in the Golden State.

The Camp itself is lovely...

Filled with lady bug houses.

See? I told you...

Actually, I think the lady bugs were also migrating.

All too soon it was time to come home. ooh, the drive back has some lovely vistas.

This time there were FOUR of these...

And one more of these...

And that's it for now. I'll have more next time...
