A Celebration

When you take almost 300 pictures in an afternoon, and you're not the official photographer, I guess that means it's a momentous occasion. Rather than explain it with too many words, I think I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

Grandpa brought the balloons...

Milkshake Werks supplied the cake...

Gramma took the baby behind the scenes for a bath...

Mom cooked a delicious feast...

Uncle monitored the balloon interaction

They had great fun with the balloons

Indeed...

The party girl likes her party dress,

Mom was still cooking...

Great Grandma and Great Grandpa brought Penny a new hat...

She liked the cake

Even the uncles in Arkansas joined in. (It is middle uncle's 25th birthday today. Penny's real birthday is next week.)

Grandpa loves his Penny time

He bought her some new books...The Hungry Caterpillar, Peter Rabbit, and The Grouchy Ladybug (to be delivered on Tuesday).

He likes to watch her. She likes to read.

In case you were wondering, yes, she received a quilt. Not the work of art that had been promised (it's still in pieces), but a quilt, nonetheless.

And by the end of the day, she even sat on it.

Happy Birthday, Little Penelope!
