Odds n Ends

With my Hoffman Challenge blocks pieced, I was able to put my purple scraps back in the box.  Wow.  Look at all that space!  I can even put the lid on, without forcing it to fit!
We're finally ready to paint the main house at the walnuts.  Yesterday morning we cleared off the porch, and yesterday afternoon, the painter arrived with the pressure washer.  Painting should commence in the morning.  woohoo!!
My oldest son has been planting an interesting array of plants.  This is his quinoa/amaranth patch.  There used to be twice as many, but when the pit bull traveled through, he destroyed half the plot.  bad dog.  :(
And that's all I've got for today.  I'm working on embroidering the patches for my Hoffman.  It will be a while before they are ready for sharing.  Now that I'm actually using it, I wish I'd purchased more silk ribbon for embroidery when I was in Paducah and Houston.  oh well.  We'll see how I can stretch what I have.  :)

I'll be interested to see how you embroider with silk ribbon. Love the blocks you have made so far.
