If I bought paint for the bathroom, and auditioned colors in the hall (still wet in the last pic), does that mean that I'm committed?  Or just that I should be?

Still waiting for an update on the carpet.  I guess it will be/might be some time next week?

Aren't contractors so fun? This past summer, I was without a bathroom floor for a week while I waited for them to go through their monkey motions. I was never so glad to get such a small and necessary job completed in my life. Especially since I was expecting a house guest from out of state.

I would say if you were going with a drastic color change you would be committed.
