In Process

The bathroom floor is in, the toilet is not.
The laundry room floor is out, and the crack in the cement has been repaired.  I knew it was there, but it was distressing to see how large it was.  Not only had the foundation cracked, but one side was higher than the other.  The original builder "repaired" the crack with dry-wall joint compound.  My floor guy repaired the crack with cement.  A MUCH better choice.
Today this particular project should be brought to a close.  Next up?  Carpet.  egad.  I shudder to think of the work that will be, trying to move furniture here, there, and everywhere else.  I do more than shudder.  Internally, I curl up into a ball, whimpering.

And so I sew.

I made two birthday cards yesterday.  I'm still running VERY late - Penny's birthday was in March, for heaven's sake! - but better late than never?  Let's say "yes."  :)
One of the things I picked up in Houston was a batik stamp of a dragon.  Jeff was born in the year of the dragon.  (Is that supposed to be capitalized?)  I haven't seen dragon fabric since I've looked for it, but now I can make my own.

I also found a carved wood bunny stamp, for my little year of the rabbit Penelope.  :)
While the guys lay the floors, I'm trying to dig out the studio.  I found part of the sewing table!  Of course I celebrated by sewing.  :)  I'm hopeless!  But I'm also having fun, so I may as well stop fighting and give in.

Gotta go sew some more...see ya!  :)

Haha! Sewing just cures everything, doesn't it? I was so happy when I found out the appliance delivery guys from Home Depot are making an afternoon delivery tomorrow for my new stove. That meant I didn't have to move some things around today. I could procrastinate and SEW.

I love your new flooring.

You might find some long lost fabrics and stuff while moving all the stuff for new flooring. I don't envy you this chore.
