Fabric Multiplies

You know it does.  I don't know how it does it, but I've seen the result.

Yesterday I began with a box of strips.  The box was not full.  I thought that if I sewed them onto a foundation, I could sew my way through the box.  fat chance.

I made these strip strips:
It should have made a dent, right?

But what should I find, when I went to put the lid on the box?
I never should have turned my back.

when I was doing more traditional quilting than art quilting, I used to end up with tons of strips. They got so plentiful that I started selling boxes by the pound on ebay. Quilters would love to get a box of surprise and I got a kick that people would pay cash for my scraps! this is coming great!

Yes, fabric has babies. There is no way to stop it from happening, either. Even if you put the lid on the box very tightly and push it to the back of a very dark closet...

Just like rabbits. I had to buy another box to hold it.
