Still Popping!

Why does this last one remind me of Johnny Depp?  I think it's the up-sweep, and the orange.  Very Mad Hatter-ish, don't you think?

I met my goals for last week, finishing all of the quilt show narratives and delivering the programs to the printer.  I am sitting here, waiting, for the estimate.  Surely I can sneak in some stitchery.  Do you think anyone will notice?

On Sunday - was it Sunday? - I drew a pattern.  On Monday, I chose and cut fabric.  On Tuesday, I began sewing, a seam here, a seam there.  Today I have my background.  Tomorrow I will applique, and over the weekend I will quilt.

Or not.

I also need to clear out my garage so that I can move out the quilt show equipment and stow the seats from the van.

There are other quilt show odds and ends, but the bulk of the work is behind me.  Today I worked on it for 2-3 hours.  Not so much, really, in the grand scheme of things.  I should be more stressed, but I've been sewing.  There is nothing more soothing than the hum of the machine and an exciting new small project.

My goal for this week, which I believe is Week #13, is to wrap up the remaining at-home quilt show details, and to finish the little quilted project.  If it gets done, it has somewhere to go.  If it doesn't get finished, well, then I'll probably show it to you sooner.

And on that, I think I'll go look at my garden again.  Every time I turn my back, someone else pops up.  Pop!

Glad you are finding time to sew and relax before the big show. Loving all the photos of your flowers too.
