THUMPA THUMPA THUMPA THUMPA
Can you hear it? Is my pounding heartbeat coming through the internet? It's been 3 hours since I opened my mail, and I still can't believe it.
My quilt was accepted into "Celebrate Spring," the IQA show in Chicago in April.
oh. my. gosh.
This gives new meaning to my insistence that "if you don't enter, you'll never get accepted." Wow. After multiple rejections from multiple shows in the past 6 months, I'd almost retired it. I am so thankful I didn't.
I've always said that my purpose for this quilt is to bring God glory. And now it's off to Chicago, where I pray it will do just that.
I have a second acceptance for a second quilt, from MAQF.
A third quilt is off to Indiana in a couple of weeks.
So far 2010 is a good show year for this particular quilter. I got in!!! I can hardly believe it!!! The letter said they accepted 44 quilts. Forty four? I'm one of forty four?!!! Truly, I am blown away. You could knock me over with a feather.
While I've been sitting here, waiting for letters from quilt shows, I've been stitching. yep. Count another baby quilt as FINISHED!
Now I've got to work on my entries for Best of the Valley. If I don't enter, I won't get in, even though I know the chairman. ;)
oh my gosh. I got in. I may have to fly to Chicago!!

Congratulations! I'll be seeing your Indiana quilt; come to think of it, I'll see the Chicago one also.
Congratulations!! One of 44 is awesome but well deserved.
