I've been doing a LOT of beading lately. Yesterday I took a much-needed break. What should I work on? How about my Nancy Brown project from the June workshop? Yes, it's just the thing. The quilt is now quilted and bound, and ready for a label.

Buzz is quite beautiful! Wonderful face expression. And the eyes are perfect.
Don't you LOVE Nancy Brown?! I got to take one of her classes last April to make a giraffe. Still can't believe I was so blessed to do that!
Do you know about the "Petty" challenge in Quilting Arts magazine? See the most recent issue. If Buzz is 12"x12", you might get into their next calendar!
Congrats on finishing a UFO!! Isn't it a great feeling. What a nice piece to come out of a workshop with - the cat is so cute! Nice Job!!
What a great piece! Can you tell me a bit about its construction-like the terrific background.
Zoo person, you have no email contact, so hopefully you've checked back in the comment section for my response.
This quilt is hand-appliqued, and machine quilted. The mosaic "background" is actually the table I laid it on for photography. It is NOT part of the quilt. (For some reason it helped the color stay true.)
Hope that clarifies things! :)
The mosaic table is actually a very nice touch to the photograph. The quilt is wonderful, but for those of us who have to "settle" for the photo, the mosaic is a very nice background. =)
An absolutely wonderful quilt. Ah, NotMyCat! I wish he was still around....
