I haven't been working on my Hoffman. Bad quilter! ;)
Instead, I've been cleaning a bit, reading, and puttering. I did find time to make these two cards. The first is for my cousin. I'm practicing my embroidery, doncha know? :) Stem stitch plus chain stitch plus flower beads equals very pretty.
The second card was a canvas for practicing the feather stitch. At least I think that's what it's called. The leaves were my first, and I find that I quite like making them. Again, add a few flower beads, and call it "Finished!"The window has been replaced, the screen will be ready in a few days, and the gutters are still full of leaves. People keep telling me to "leave them!", but I suspect that if they're still there by the end of the week, I will be back on that ladder finishing the job.
But for now? Hoffman Challenge, thy deadline is looming!

Cute cards and what a great idea to use for practicing your stitching.
Love the cards, and I think you should get a long-armed sprayer to get rid of your leaves in the gutter :)
