By now you're wondering what I'm talking about. I'm talking about this cute little birthday card for my friend Gwen.
Here is the card (tip your laptop for proper orientation)...

Here is Gwen, with her card (and her lunch at Panera)...

A funny thing about this baby quilt. I'd heard that a friend had twins in November (or was it October?) and I thought, I should make quilts for the babies. Just this morning, I was thinking, well, I've finally got the quilts finished, but I haven't seen them in so long (I don't think I've seen them since their wedding almost 10 years ago!), I wonder if I should give these to them...
And then there she was, with the twins, at Panera. I think it's a sign. I'll be dropping the quilts by her husband's office in the morning. Talk about timing!!
Finally, Gwen pointed out the mountains. I hadn't even noticed them. I guess we ARE going to get that predicted rain tomorrow. The wind has blown away the fog, and the view is actually quite spectacular. (Click on it to enlarge - you might even be able to pick out Sawtooth...)
And there you go. That's what I've been up to. And it's all good. :)

does this count as a finished 12 step. I have had paper pieced sail boat blocks to finish since whenever the beginning was. I determined in January to finish the blocks. I made 16 in January but the quilt is not cut out or anything. This month the goal is to finish the lone star top and back. But I have made 7 valentine cards and have 3 natal day cards this month and 3 next month. Much more fun and instant gratification.
